Lord’s Cricket Ground

Indigo Shading Ltd recently installed parasols at one of our most high-profile locations to date: Harris Garden at the prestigious Lord’s Cricket Ground.

As most know, Lord’s is globally renowned as the finest cricket ground there is. It’s not uncommon to see royalty, A List celebrities and VIPs coming and going, meaning the area has to be the absolute best it can possibly be. Harris Garden, laid out on the former site of the lawn tennis court near the entrance to the Pavilion, is a charming, alfresco restaurant and rose garden, there to entertain all manner of guests visiting the Grounds.

Harris Garden is the only venue in the Grounds with a late license for after-match drinks: British weather permitting, it is the perfect location to sit with a drinks after enjoying a day of fine sport; however, more often than not we are met with that familiar unwanted chill in the air. With this in mind, Lord’s contacted Indigo requesting six parasols of a pale yellow fabric, each with branded signwriting on the valances and heaters fitted to provide warmth to guests on cooler evenings.

Once these were installed, the garden was transformed into a delightful venue perfect for parties and receptions, now able to withstand most weather conditions.

These parasols were fitted as part of a £14 million ground modernisation project by Lord’s in an effort to ensure the Grounds maintain the famed status of best in the world.
